Attorney Dominguez was raised in South-East Los Angeles. He is a middle child in a family of five brothers and one sister. His father is a pharmacist and his mother a retired school teacher/housewife. He attended and graduated from public schools in South Gate, California. He graduated from Cerritos Jr. College in 1978 and from California State University, Long Beach in 1984 with a major in history. Attorney Dominguez graduated from the University of California Hastings College of Law in 1987 and was sworn in to practice law before all of the courts of the State of California on December 11, 1987. He is also licensed to practice in the Central and Northern Federal District Courts and the 9th Federal Circuit Court all located in California.
Attorney Juan J. Dominguez also currently serves as a court appointed Superior Court arbitrator in Los Angeles County to assist other lawyers resolve their cases. He is an active member of the American Bar Association, California Consumer Attorneys Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association and American Trial Lawyers Association.
Prior to entering law school, he worked for approximately 7 years at two major trauma center hospitals in Los Angeles County in the emergency rooms as an administrative analyst of the medical care provided.
